Heads of Ash Management & Utilization Meet: Focus on 100% AshUtilization: Says NTPC Director (Operations)

Raipur/- Joining the Heads of Ash Management & Utilization Meet held at NTPC Nava
Raipur through Virtual mode, NTPC Director (Operations) Shri Ramesh Babu V
asked the participants to take concerted efforts to achieve 100 per cent Ash
utilization.

The Two-Day meet was held on January 10-11, 2024 wherein Heads of Ash
Management & Utilization department from across NTPC joined in large numbers.
Shri Ramesh Babu further underlined the importance of 100 per cent Ash
utilization to maintain sustainability in the thermal power segment. This will not
only help in complying Govt. directives but also helps in generating thermal power
in environment-friendly manner.
Earlier, speaking on the occasion, Shri C Sivakumar, RED (WR-II, USSC & Ash-
NI); Shri Ravindra Kumar, OSD to Director (Operations) and Shri A K Samaiyar,
ED (SSEA) appreciated the efforts taken by the stations in increasing ash
utilization in the recent years. The dignitaries further asked the Heads of Ash
Management & Utilization department to work in tandem with external
stakeholders like Cement Industries, NHAI Projects, Brick Manufacturers besides
exploring new avenues to utilize ash in sustainable manner.
During the two-day meet, Heads of Ash Management & Utilization department
presented and discussed the best practices adopted in their respective stations
which can be emulated in other stations to give momentum to ash Utilization.
Shri S K Takhele, ED-SSEA, CGMs, GMs and other officials from Corporate
Centre, Naya Raipur and Projects attended the meet.
